Festival Activities:

**2017 Festival Activities are all subject to change please use the 2016  list (see below) as a reference of possible activities we havent announced speakers, concert series, nor film fest yet.**

The Grand Circle Trailfest is not only a running event, but an end-of-season social gathering offering something for everyone.

It's a gathering of a broad group of people who share the common thread:
a love for the trails.

At the end of the day, runners can gravitate towards the social activities that appeal to them most. After a fun day out on the trails, it’s time to kick off your running shoes, sit back and unwind. We’ll have something each night to help you relax and recharge for the next day. We create the environment for runners and non-runners alike to share stories & experiences.

We are happy to announce  Trails in Motion will return for our 2017 Trail running film festival

Film Festival:

Trailfest will offer plenty to do for the non-runner. All the activities begin after 2:00PM. Everything from yoga classes, nature walks, slacklining clinics, massage therapists, and local vendors and shops offer plenty to do for those who don't want to venture out onto the trails. The town of Kanab also offers a couple of unique museums, a movie theater, bar, and  several historic sites to keep you busy.

While your runner is out on the trail, go for a drive through one of the 3 adjacent National Parks, 2 National Monuments, one of the Navajo Tribal Parks, or Lake Powell! Click here for local recreation options!

The Non-Runner:

Sometimes the best activities involve nothing more than some friends, a warm fire, and some good stories to tell. Gather around the community flame, make a s'mores, and reflect on the day.

Bonfire:

Bands:

Turn up the live music and get your jam on! Live tunes will be going on throughout the afternoon to keep you in the rhythm.

Clinics:

Come listen to and learn from leading experts in the field of running. Topics may vary from anything from include nutrition to training.

Kids Camp and Trail Runs:

Kids camp is going to be a blast!  For $30 per day we will provide breakfast and lunch daily and a free t-shirt. There will be tons of time for play as well as activities to keep your children busy. For the GC Trailfest kids camp we will have a licensed day care provider with several volunteers helping out.

Family Trail Runs: GC Trailfest is an incredible opportunity to introduce your kids to the world of trail running. Trail experts will spend time teaching your kids about the environment, wildlife, trail running etiquette and techniques, and taking them on local trail runs around Kanab.

Gear Demo:

Each evening you can stroll through the vendor booths to find great deals on end of season/closeout gear as well as the latest & newest designs. Many demo options of the latest shoes and gear will be available so you can "Try before you buy".

Gear Swap:

On Friday evening, we will be hosting a gear swap where you can bring that pack that didn't fit, those shoes that you only wore twice and gave you blisters, your old water filter, etc. Runners are responsible to stay with the gear they sell or trade. Trailfest staff aren't managing it for them. We will have a designated area where you can pick a spot on the ground to put your gear. You  will also be responsible for the exchange of any money, including providing change.

Guest Speaker:

We are beyond excited for our 2017 Keynote Speaker Kristy Moehl
